![]() ![]() This is further augmented by a light-but-useful variety of Defensive Structures. In general, these units cover the entire spectrum of basic battlefield roles, giving the American army the ability to remain as versatile as possible, and specialize only when required. The American army fields 12 different types of units, with 3 infantry squads, 3 heavy weapon teams, 3 vehicles and 3 tanks. Additionally, the American Airborne Divisions play a significant role in Operation Market Garden, the Panzer Elite single-player campaign in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts. ![]() Different American companies are portrayed, each assisting the invasion in its own fashion, from the infantrymen assaulting the beaches to the Airborne troops landing behind enemy lines, and finally the Armor Company making their break in-land. In their single-player campaign, we follow the American army's Invasion of Normandy, as it struggles to establish a beach-head and later break out into the French mainland. Their Command Trees also refrain from putting too much emphasis on either of these options, resulting in a faction that can easily adapt to the changing situation on the battlefield. ![]() Of course this also means that they excel at neither option, but rather strive to find the right balance between them. Overall, this faction combines good defense with good offense, concentrating on whichever is most important at the time. American Vehicles, though expensive, keep a very good balance between offensive firepower, mobility, and protection. Thanks to their large number of fresh conscripts, American Infantry units are extremely cheap and easy to replace, thus forming the back-bone for their entire army. The Americans field a rather limited variety of units, but nonetheless have at least one unit for any battlefield role. The potent veterancy upgrades as well as actual equipment upgrades makes American infantry versatile, and superior to Axis variants in the late game. American soldiers also learn quickly, as they have the most potent veterancy bonuses in the game. Their massive war machine fuels the invasion of Nazi-Occupied Europe, bringing with it enough fresh manpower and firepower to relieve the Wehrmacht of its earlier conquests.Īmerican soldiers may not be the most experienced, but they are highly motivated and outnumber their enemy and enjoy the virtually endless supply of equipment, weapons and assets brought over the massive convoys traveling daily across the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps it is you who should be humble, and rephrase your posts as constructive advice like I did for the original post?Īlso, you complain about the economy of the US when you can get an upgradable tank destroyer - the Marder - that can kite and destroy even a Churchill tank yet it costs 25 fuel? Not to mention the manpower bleed that your other units like 8rads inflict, which you no doubt rush in your 1v1s.Īlso, SuperKeitel, you talk about, "most," top 50 players, meaning more than 50% of them, believing that Allies are op? How did you quantify that? Do you know most of them? The two top 50 players I am friends with say that DAK is broken 1v1?Ī view that is shared by popular streamers like Tightropegaming who, although not top 50, is mid field, and demonstrates the problem of DAK over and over again on his streams.I recommend checking out his channel.Īlso, this thread is about the Allies collectively. The United States is one of the Allied factions in Company of Heroes. You are the one who brought egos into this. That your DAK rating is a clear outlier at 1400+ compared to your other ratings which average in the 1200s does not help your case that DAK is supposedly under-powered compared to the Allies which is the implied post of this thread. All of my 1v1 rankings (1309-1211 elo) are comparable to yours in spite of having played much fewer games than you. Be a bit humble with those rankings of SuperKeitel, check again. He's expressing an opinion (which happens to be shared by most Top 50 players in 1v1) and you all lash on him. If Wher is strong, DAK is really a before 10min win or lose.ītw, and I found guys very quick to pose yourself as truth bearer and confirmed players when you all 3 have abysmal rankings, often inexistent in 1v1. Their economy is just way cheaper on the long term and I often found myself with way too much ressources to even spend on late game US (you can check the W/R diff i got on the US as it seems its important). Axis, it is US really OP right now if you get into any game that lasts a bit. ![]()
